My Story

Loving Candles is an understatement! Listen, I always have a few candles lit in our home and I am not ashamed to admit that I have a pretty large Candle collection. Having a nice smelling home is a must for me.

Hey, My name is Rennae Normil Co-owner of Normils Scented Candles alongside with my Husband Widgy Normil. Yup, I stole his last name. Normils Scented Candles was birthed at a time when I was searching for my staple in life, during  that time I lost site of what made me happy and I was putting myself last. Let me explain, My Husband and I became first time parents 2 years after we got married. Trying to be the perfect Wife and Mother, I poured everything into my husband and our son to the point where I stopped putting myself first and I was going threw the motions of just existing to please them. Which I must say I am not taking anything away from the love I have for my husband and my son they are the greatest blessings of my life. 

It was not until I came across a young lady on YouTube that was making candles and I wondered if I could do the same since I love candles so much. It was like a lightbulb came on,  It was at that moment that I started to get excited about something again so I dove in and boy oh boy I felt myself coming out from behind the shadows of just being a mom and a wife.

I did all the research possible of how to make candles and how to build a business. My husband was 100% supportive and he dove in with me.  I wanted our business to be different from the rest so I made sure to implement natural and allergy friendly ingredients. When I accomplished the perfect formula I did the happy dance. Once I got everything in place, Normils Scented Candles was fully birthed. I was and I am still happy to know that everyday I get to run a business with my husband that I truly enjoy. Every candle is genuinely poured with love.

This whole experience of starting this business taught me that I can do anything I put my mind to and to never loose site of what makes me happy. Thank you so much for stopping by and we hope our products will bring a little happiness to your heart with one amazing scent at time.
